The commute
The daily commute to one’s workplace can be a dreaded moment - but it does not need to be. Now that the weather is getting better (sort of - here it’s been raining almost every day for the last month …), I am enjoying going by bike to the physio clinic I teach at twice a week. It allows me to cycle roughly one and a half hours a week more than I otherwise would, getting some more training for the butt, arms and neck (as the intensity is not really high enough for a training adaptation) - and, most importantly, to start the day with a little adventure, as I cycle on the road on the way in and usually opt for the trails on the way back, practicing some MTB skills and generally having a good time.
As you can see in the pic, I recently added a rearview mirror and it’s been handy to check the traffic behind me when I travel on busier roads..
